Titanium

Where it all began

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Titanium has come from a music loving household/family. From having a mother, who had a love for different genres of music ranging from Rock to Opera. To his father, who had an enormous collection of Soul and Jazz music.

Titanium fell in love with music at the age of 6 when first being introduced to music by artists such as Cameo and Taco. Though he loves every genre of music, his gift was Hip-Hop/Rap. It was the rap music of the mid to late 90s that got Titanium’s pen moving across wide-ruled paper. His first start was in 2002 with a rap duo called Da Mares, which was a Horrorcore based subject matter. The group grinded throughout the early 2000s and sold CDs to local car clubs and malls throughout the city of Chicago. After the group agreed to create solo projects in 2004, Titanium began recording his own projects.

In 2005, Titanium completed his first album titled Listen to my Anger, which was a continuation of Da Mares gory subject matter derived from the subgenre of Hip-Hop, Horrorcore. His single from this album was “Get ta Truckin’,” which received success from local radio stations in Chicago. In 2006, Titanium fled away from the Horrorcore subject matter and created Da Titanium EP. Da Titanium EP touched on different topics which gave Titanium his voice. No singles were initially released from this project. Throughout the years, Titanium continued making music solo and with other local artists. 20 years later he wants the world to hear his unreleased music. He is currently working on building a reputation in the music industry as a songwriter for other artists.
